Dr. Bill Prevette - serving as a professor at the Oxford Center of Missions Studies, focusing on Human Trafficking and At-Risk Youth. Bill and Ky Prevette, with their son Daniel, have been involved with Assemblies of God World Missions (AGWM) since 1985. They began their missionary work in India, Singapore, and Indonesia with Asian Teen Challenge. In 1988, the Prevettes were appointed as AGWM missionaries to work in Bangkok, Thailand. They spent the next 10 years living in Thailand and Cambodia involved in church planting and compassion projects and ministering to young people and women at risk from human trafficking. Bill and Ky served country directors in Cambodia and led the International AG Church of Phnom Penh. They were also involved with many AGWM ministries that cared for Cambodia’s children and youth.In 1998 the family began work with Mission of Mercy which sponsors 70,000 children in 35 countries. Bill directed the international pro¬gram development and research arm of the ministry and started doctoral studies at the Oxford Center for Mission Studies in June of 2003. At the request of AGWM, the Prevette family moved to Bucharest, Romania in August, 2002. They worked in Southeastern Europe based in Romania from 2002-2007. Bill served as the country moderator for Romania, the board of Teen Challenge, and Touched Romania, a ministry to women at risk. His ministry focused on training young leaders and teaching in a number of seminaries and schools. He states, ‘my calling is to mentor and equip emerging leaders, training them to advance the Kingdom of God and serve their churches, families and the children that are suffering the effects of poverty, exploitation, and corruption.’ Ky was Romanian Missionary Fellowship business manager, a full time mom, and leads a ministry with international women. Daniel, 18, graduated with honors from Bucharest Christian Academy and enrolled in Southeastern University in August 2007. Currently the Prevette family is based in Lakeland, Florida. Bill is assigned as an Missionary in Residence at Southeastern University and is traveling to churches around the USA. Bill and Ky were Missionaries in Residence at Southeastern University in 2008 and they relocated to Oxford, UK in April of 2010. Bill and Ky continue their work as Assemblies of God Missionaries. Bill now serves as a PhD research tutor at the Oxford Center for Mission Studies (www.ocms.ac.uk). He directs practitioner-based research and supervises doctoral candidates from Latin America, Asia and Africa.
