2011 - India

TRIP DETAILS:
This summer, Denver United Church will be joining one of our missions partners in Chennai, India for an incredible opportunity to love and serve some of the most overlooked people groups in the world: India's street children and at-risk women.

A team of 13 from Denver United will travel to Chennai on July 16th and return on July 30th.  They will share the love of Christ in some of the most practical ways: loving on kids, leading devotionals for those who want to deepen their relationship with Jesus, ministering to women who have been rescued from forced servitude, and restoring run-down facilities.  Additionally, one of the essential benefits of "short-term" missions is the chance to encourage the lifetime missionaries that host short-term teams.  The team will be able to pray with and support our career missionary in India in a very meaningful way.

How can YOU be involved?:
  1. Donate to the trip fund at www.denverunited.com (click "Give Online," find "Global Missions" and follow steps)
  2. Pray for the team members for the following: financial support, team unity, safety, a smooth and effective trip.
  3. Pray for India.
  4. Connect with and encourage the team.  Follow @dumissions on Twitter and "Like" on Facebook to get regular team updates and prayer requests.
  5. Adopt a team member.  Keep posted to see ways you will be able to "adopt" a team member, committing to praing for them every day for the duration of the trip.
